Welcome to my website. I use a model-based approach in a range of projects spanning from sedimentary structures at Earth's surface to subducted slabs in the upper mantle, with the common goal to understand the underlying physical processes. Since Spring 2020, i am Professor in Tectonics and Geodynamics at RWTH Aachen University. From 2004 to 2020, i worked at the Geological Survey of Norway. I am Executive Editor with the EGU Open Access journal Solid Earth and Associate Editor with Frontiers Solid Earth Geophysics and only happy to answer any questions you may have about publishing in these journals.
